The Mongolian Tax Administration held a meeting with representatives of Japanese-invested companies to provide information on tax legislation and recent amendments, as well as to hear their comments and suggestions.
At the time of the meeting, 428 Japanese-invested legal entities were operating in Mongolia. Of these:
- 42.7% operated in the trade sector
- 21.2% operated in the service sector
- 8% operated in the tourism sector
- The remainder operated in agriculture, rental services, construction and other sectors
The Mongolian Tax Administration has implemented a number of joint projects with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to improve the quality of taxpayer services.
The meeting was organized in cooperation with the project entitled “Strengthening the Capacity of the Mongolian Tax Administration to Ensure the Implementation of the Revised Tax Laws.”
